New York Global Group Names Benjamin Wey President

New York Global Group (NYGG), a full-service global investment banking and strategic consulting firm with expertise in bridging the cultural and regulatory gaps between the U.S. and Chinese markets, announced today that Benjamin Wey, an investment management executive with over 10 years of experience in doing business with China, has been appointed President of the firm. Mr. Wey was previously a Managing Director with the firm.

As early as 1994, he advised Eaton Corporation, a Fortune 500 company, on the firm's first successful joint venture with a Chinese state-owned company which has since become the market leader in China's hydraulic motor industry.

Mr. Wey has acted as an advisor to a diverse range of public and private institutions worldwide including the Bank of China and the People's Bank of China and was recently named Senior Economic Advisor to the City of Tianjin, China, one of China's leading industrial cities with a population of over 12 million people. He is the Executive Director of the Foreign Investment Committee of the Investment Association of China and the Deputy Director of China Mergers & Acquisitions Association. He is also a Visiting Professor teaching global finance at two universities in China.
