Emerald Oil & Gas Releases Palito Blanco drilling Update (EMR.AX, 00763392, 20070927)
Emerald Oil & Gas released an update on drilling at the Jaime Garcia gas unit #2 well at the Palito Blanco prospect located in Duval and Jim Wells Counties, Texas USA. The well is drilling ahead to primary targets in Yegua formation. The operator OSO Exploration has advised Emerald that approx 24 ft of possible hydrocarbon-bearing sands have been identified from intermediate logs, within the secondary objective Frio, Jackson & Hockley formations. These zones will be further evaluated once the well reaches total depth. The primary target Yegua 14 sand is anticipated at 7,350 ft. Secondary target Yegua 15 and 21 sands anticipated between 7,600 and 8,200 ft. Proposed total depth is 8,250 ft.
