Midwest Corporation released a Supplementary Bidder's statement regarding the takeover bid by MMX Investments (a wholly owned subsidiary of Murchison Metals). On 26 October 2007, Murchison's lawyers received a request from Midwest's lawyers seeking further clarification on several matters raised in the Bidder's Statement lodged by MMX Investment on 19 October 2007. Whilst MMX Investments believes the existing disclosure in the Bidder's Statement is not defective, MMX Investments made additional disclosures and amendments to its Bidder's Statement regarding: References to targeted production; Combined Group benefits; and Foreign Shareholders.
