AGL Energy Limited (ASX: AGL) Announce Organisational Changes

Sydney, Australia, Dec 10, 2007 - (ABN Newswire) - AGL Energy Limited (AGL) advises that Greg Conway, General Manager of Retail Business, finished his employment with the Company on Friday 7 December 2007.

Phil James has agreed to extend his service with AGL and resume the role of Group General Manager, Retail Energy while the company completes a number of critical phases of Project Phoenix (currently scheduled to complete in September 2008). Phil will have accountability as project sponsor for delivery of the business benefits associated with Project Phoenix, a project of which he was the chief architect. His role as project sponsor will be in addition to his broader responsibilities for managing the retail business.

In due course, a search will be undertaken to find a replacement to lead AGL retail operations post-Phoenix implementation.

AGL will include a status report on Project Phoenix when it advises the market of the outcomes of its review of business assumptions and operations, anticipated to be during the week commencing 17 December 2007.
