China Southern Inaugurates New Urumqi-Ashgabat Service

The new China Southern service between Urumqi and Ashgabat marks the successful completion of launching new flights to five central Asian countries including Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.

The new flights will be operated by China Southern's Xinjiang Branch, using a Boeing 737 aircraft, departing Urumqi on Tuesdays and Saturdays and returning on Wednesdays and Sundays.

China Southern Airlines Xinjiang Branch currently operates flights to 16 international cities, making Urumqi, the capital of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, a gateway hub for northwest China.
