infoUSA Goes Global

Tuesday March 25 7:01 AM

infoUSA (NASDAQ: IUSA), the leading provider of proprietary business and consumer databases, sales leads, direct marketing, and email marketing, announced today its plans to go global and will initially target China and India. The Company will compile a high-quality, telephone-verified database for these countries, which will service the growing demand for this type of information from businesses in the United States and abroad.

infoUSA is in discussions with several partners to compile these databases which will have depth of information and potentially feature photo images of the businesses.

"There is a tremendous demand for quality databases for sales and marketing purposes, for research purposes, and for other corporate applications in these markets," said Vin Gupta, Chairman and CEO of infoUSA. "At this time there is no single entity filling this need in these countries."

As the growth of the direct mail business slows, the Company's strategy is to develop high-quality, proprietary databases and create technological solutions so these databases can be used in a variety of ways by businesses, salespeople and the public and private sectors.

infoUSA started with a database of the United States, then expanded into Canada, and is currently compiling a business database for Great Britain. It is the Company's plan to expand into other countries such as Australia, New Zealand and Ireland.

As the Company broadens its international presence, it will change the name of the corporate entity, which will designate its global status.
