ITT Corporation (NYSE: ITT) today announced new assignments for two of the company's leaders. Michael Kuchenbrod, 43, currently president of ITT's Interconnect Solutions (ICS) business, was named president of ITT China, based in Shanghai. ITT China oversees the company's seven manufacturing sites and 2,000 employees in China, as well as ITT's operations in India. William Taylor, 55, currently president of ITT China, was named president of ITT's ICS business, based in Santa Ana, California. ICS manufactures specialty connectors for a number of global markets including aerospace, medical and transportation. The changes will take effect by the end of June.

"We're pleased to have two seasoned global executives such as Bill and Mike ready to take on these key strategic assignments," said Steve Loranger, ITT's chairman, president and chief executive officer. "With our emphasis on further penetrating emerging markets like China, and with the steady global growth we're seeing in our ICS business, these appointments are critical to our future success."

Kuchenbrod is a 20-year veteran of ITT, having spent most of his career in the ICS business, which includes operations in Shenzhen, China. He was named president of the business in 2006. Prior to that, he was president and general manager of ITT's KONI shock absorber business, based in the Netherlands. Kuchenbrod holds a master's degree in business administration from the University of Southern California, and a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering from Montana State University.

Taylor has served as president of ITT China for the last two years, where he has led the successful launch of several initiatives aimed at sharing common business resources across ITT's operations in China and India. Previously, he was president and general manager of ITT's global Industrial Process business. Prior to joining ITT in 2003, he was president of Delta Companies in Denham Springs, Louisiana.
