Arrow Electronics Helps Support Earthquake Relief Efforts in China

Arrow Electronics, Inc. (NYSE:ARW) announced today it is donating $100,000 for distribution to the Red Cross, AmeriCares and Mercy Corps for disaster relief efforts related to the May 12 massive earthquake in China.

Arrow also announced it will match employee donations to the designated charities involved in the earthquake relief operations.

"We believe it's important to do what we can to help alleviate the suffering caused by this disaster," said William E. Mitchell, chairman and chief executive officer of Arrow Electronics. "We have operations in China, and I'm proud that Arrow has been a long-time contributor to the global community in times of need. It's critical that we support the assistance efforts associated with this catastrophic earthquake."

The Red Cross, AmeriCares and Mercy Corps have been providing relief supplies, such as food, water and tents, and other assistance to people in the affected areas.
