Great Australian Resources Reports Sylvania to Lodge Application to Federal Court

Great Australian Resources reported that Sylvania Resources announced on 12 August 2009 that, as at 11 August 2009, it had a relevant interest in 89.82% of the issued shares in Great Australian Resources. Sylvania has subsequently been advised by its share registry that it had received valid acceptances for a further 50,000 GAU shares prior to 5.00pm on 11 August 2009, increasing Sylvania's relevant interest in GAU to 89.86% of the issued shares. Sylvania proposes to lodge an urgent application with the Federal Court today for orders extending the period for acceptances under the Offer until 27 August 2009.
