Sundance Energy Australia Commences Boomerang Prospect Drilling Program Monday September 7, 2009, 3:05 pm Original Announcement: Boomerang Prospect Drilling Program Commences Sundance Energy Australia provided activities update, reporting the company has secured an opportunity to participate in a new drilling program in the Denver Julesberg Basin's Wattenberg Field which is located in north-eastern Colorado. This development program is targeting multiple tight sand and shale formations which will be developed both vertically and directionally. The first well in that program, the Meyer #8, which targeted the Codell/Niobrara formations, successfully spud on 1 September and reached its target depth of 7,400ft (2,255m) on 4 September. It is expected that the second well in the program, the Meyers #3 will have spud on 5 September (subsequent to the preparation of this release). The operator, Synergy Resources Corporation, intends to drill a minimum of 5 wells in this first phase of what is anticipated to ultimately include a program of up to 15 wells.More information about SEA.AX |
