Apollo Minerals announced that the drilling programme which commenced on 2 October 2009 at its Mt Oscar tenement in the Pilbara in WA has had a successful start with its first drillhole, A6N, intercepting two significant magnetite rich horizons. The Company reported it has struck significant magnetite iron ore intercepts at Mt Oscar in its first drill hole with a combined intercept width of 196m; results compare well with anticipated intercepts from geophysical modeling; and second intercept was more than double the expected width.
