Direct flights would improve Exmouth medical access
Tuesday October 27, 2009, 2:00 pm

The Shire of Exmouth says it would support moves to establish direct flights between Exmouth and Geraldton.

Shire president Ronnie Flay says direct flights would improve the community's access to medical services.

"It is a connection that we have missed sorely because it is our centre for medical assistance and no-one can get a flight down there," he said.

"They have to go to Perth and come back up, or they have it to bus or drive it down."

The mid west Chamber of Commerce is assisting Skywest in exploring the idea and is encouraging people to register their interest.
