WestSide Corporation Limited (ASX:WCL) Coal Seam Gas Drilling And Appraisal Continues

Brisbane, Australia, Nov 6, 2009 - (ABN Newswire) - WestSide Corporation Limited (ASX: WCL.AX) continues a multi well program in ATP 688P in the northern Bowen Basin to confirm coal in the P seam and Goonyella seams of the Moranbah Coal Measures in preparation for the drilling of two sets of horizontal chevron-style dual-lateral wells (Tilbrook #L9a and #L9b, Tilbrook #L10a and #L10b) which are planned to intersect with new vertical wells (Tilbrook #9 and #10).

Based on the results of the Tilbrook #9a well it is now planned to drill Tilbrook T9 prior to T10a and T10b to assist in the design of the Tilbrook #L9 lateral set. Tilbrook #9 is planned as a vertical production well.

Latest activity - Tilbrook #9a

The Tilbrook #9a vertical exploration well has been drilled to a depth of 506m, logged, subjected to two drill stem tests and cased. The well shows more than 9 metres of net coal.

ATP 688P and ATP769P coal seam gas seismic program (Tilbrook, Mount Saint Martin and Paranui)

WestSide has completed its seismic acquisition program in the Tilbrook and Mount Saint Martin areas of ATP 688P and in Paranui in ATP 769P.

Latest activity

Seismic acquisition over a 10km distance was commenced at Paranui on 3 November and was completed on 4 November.
