How to appeal a Centrelink age pension decision

Having recently retired completely from the workforce I have applied for the age pension, however, I was declined even though my calculations indicate that I should qualify. How can I take this matter further?

If you have discussed this with Centrelink, then you can request a review by an officer at a Centrelink's customer service centre. This person will have had no involvement in your case and can vary a decision. This would be more likely to occur if you can provide some new, relevant information is available and prove that any mistakes were made.

If you are still not satisfied with the decision, you can apply to the Social Security Appeals Tribunal (SSAT) for a review.
